NOTE:  Even if you do not have any hours or donations, please fill out a report indicating same so I can credit your Detachment for filing.

Your report for the second half of our fiscal year (January through June) will be due in June.  I will send a reminder out in May.

To access your VAVS Report form, go to www.mcldof.org and click on VAVS Reporting, then click on Reporting Form.  You can fill out the form on-line and Email it to me at mclwilson1045@aol.comNOTE:  If you are having trouble filling out the form on-line or if the form is not on-line, open the attached copy,  print it, fill it out by pen and send the completed form to me via E-mail attachment or by postal mail.

Remember that your members sacrifice many hours donating their time, money and items to help veterans and their families.  Maybe they spent time volunteering at a VA Medical Facility, participated in a Color Guard or Honor Guard Ceremony, etc.  Your Detachment and your members deserve to be recognized for their donations and work.

INFORMATION REGARDING CERTIFICATION AND RECERTIFICATION:  There is only one MCL Rep and up to three Deputy Reps at each VA Hospital.  All Certified MCL VAVS Reps and Deputy Reps must recertify every two years.  Recertification is not automatic.  To certify or recertify go to www.mclnational.org, click on VETERANS INFORMATION, when that opens, click on MCL CERTIFICATION/RECERTIFICATION REQUEST and follow the instructions on pages 1 and 2.

Semper Fi,
